The Consulting Crew (TCC) is committed to processing your personal data fairly and transparently in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).
Website analytics and your choices
- With your permission, Google Analytics 4 and our self-hosted Supabase database receive page views, traffic sources, device type, approximate country and enquiry actions. Random browser and session identifiers help us count visits; they do not tell us your name or phone number.
- We exclude form contents, query strings and account, admin and payment pages from this event collection. Contact details you submit to request a service are stored separately in TCC's protected lead register and are never sent to Google Analytics.
- When you submit an enquiry, you separately permit TCC to contact you and record how that enquiry reached the website. If analytics permission is active, the enquiry may be linked to that consented session so our team can see the first page, traffic source and recent public pages viewed. If analytics permission is not active, no browser or session identifier is linked.
- Choose No thanks to decline this tracking. Use Cookie settings at the bottom of the website to change or withdraw your choice. A choice expires after 180 days. First-party events are retained for 90 days; imported aggregate Google Analytics reports for up to 400 days.
- Existing cookieless site measurement may still produce aggregate traffic statistics. Google processes Analytics data under its own privacy terms. For data requests, contact hello@theconsultingcrew.in.
Data we collect
- Identification data: name, business name, GSTIN, PAN, address.
- Contact data: phone, email, WhatsApp number.
- Financial data: ledgers, invoices, bank statements provided by you for compliance work.
- Technical data: IP address, browser, device type, anonymised analytics.
How we use it
- Deliver the compliance, advisory and product services you have engaged us for.
- Communicate filing reminders, status updates and answers to your queries.
- Respond to an enquiry and understand which public page or campaign produced it, where you gave contact permission.
- Comply with statutory obligations under Indian tax and corporate laws.
- Improve our services with anonymised analytics.
Lawful basis
- Your consent (e.g., when you submit the contact form or accept analytics cookies).
- Performance of the engagement letter signed with you.
- Legitimate professional duty (e.g., retaining audit work papers as required by ICAI).
Your rights
- Access, correction, completion and erasure of your personal data.
- Withdrawal of consent at any time, without affecting prior lawful processing.
- Grievance redressal: write to our Grievance Officer at hello@theconsultingcrew.in.
Retention
- Engagement records are retained for a minimum of 8 years to comply with the Income-tax Act and the Companies Act, 2013.
- Website enquiry records are retained for up to 2 years, unless they become engagement records or you ask us to erase them sooner.
- Marketing data is retained until you withdraw consent.
Sharing
- We do not sell your data.
- We share data with trusted processors (cloud hosting, accounting platforms, communication tools) under written DPAs.
- We disclose data to statutory authorities only where compelled by law.
