Formal demand notice for unpaid invoices — facts, ledger summary, interest claim (with the MSMED Act, 2006 route for registered MSMEs), 15-day demand and consequences.
Use this when
A buyer/client has ignored reminders and your invoices are overdue. A structured legal notice — from you or through counsel — is usually what finally moves payment. If you hold Udyam registration, the MSMED interest and MSME Samadhaan route adds real teeth.
Stamp duty & execution
Issue on your letterhead (or through an advocate on theirs), signed, sent by Registered Post AD / speed post and email, keeping proof of dispatch and delivery. Keep the tone factual — this document may be read by a court later. For Udyam-registered suppliers, compound interest at 3× the RBI bank rate accrues under section 16 of the MSMED Act, 2006, and a reference can be filed on MSME Samadhaan.
